Thanks to Heather, I was able to expand my repertoire into grad announcement photography. I just love it when the weather does what I ask! I think these turned out really fun. Plus, now Heather has like 400 more pictures to add to her facebook page... kidding, Heather! Anyway, this was really fun. The more practice I can get, the better!

Family Photos

I love taking photos. I think I have just as much fun editing them, but it would be a close race. While on this outing, I quickly came to the realization that it's difficult trying to get one person to pose for you... let alone three individuals... let alone a one-year-old... let alone a one-year-old with a HUGE personality. So, needless to say, I found out the difficulties of taking images with multiple people involved. We still had a blast and I think that some really turned out great. Take a look, let me know what you think! And yes, it's the same bench you've seen in some other images of mine.

I had a great time shooting some more engagements on Monday. It really isn't very hard to take cute pictures when you have such a cute couple to shoot. I wish I could post all of the pictures, but alas there is not enough room here. You'll have to settle with a glimpse of just a few. I've kind of gotten into this sepia and vignetting thing, if you can't tell. I haven't quite got the hang of it yet. I'll keep practicing.

Mormon Bachelorette Party

I think I may have missed my calling in life. Yesterday the thought crossed my mind that I should have gone to school to become a party planner (do they have school for those?) rather than a microbiologist. I can throw one heck of a party! My friend Camille is getting married and I volunteered to throw the bachelorette party. I think it turned out pretty good and I had a really fun time planning. We danced the night away (thanks to Huu's awesome sound equipment) and drank gorgeous virgin mocktails. And yes, I did make all those cupcakes myself.

Matt & Melissa

I went to my grandfather's 90th birthday party yesterday. I had no idea he was so popular! I've never had that many people show up at my own birthday party... haha, oh well. My brother is visiting from London with his cute South African wifey, Melissa. (She's the new Melissa Garner). Anyway, I took a little break from the old fogies to snap some cute shots of them. This is at my grandfather's farm in Pingree, Idaho.

The weather finally cleared and we were at long last able to take out Rhett's Christmas present, which we've affectionately named "elicopter." Note to self, objects in lens appear farther away than in actuality. I was almost beheaded by this 24 inch remote controlled helicopter. Luckily, Rhett was able to steer it away and land it 10 feet up in a tree.

Meet gorgeous little Maggie. We had a great time at the park. There are so many new things for a four-month-old to see. She was a little bit sleepy, which made it difficult for her mother and I to get a smile out of her. But when she smiles, anyone noticing can't help but do the same. We're going to try again soon. Next time, we'll snap some shots before the little tot's bedtime.
